With the festive season being all about giving – Centurion decided to spoil their customers with some lovely freshly baked Christmas Mince Pies.
The store was soon filled with the yummy smells of Christmas. Both young and old were eager to tuck in – and were raving about the crisp and delicious pies. Smiles all around!
Christmas Mince Pies
3 Cups of Flour
250 GMS of Rama (if you have budget use real butter)
¼ Cups of Cream
1 Cup Fruit Mince
1 Pudding Spoon of Apricot Jam
Rub Rama into flour until it looks like bread crumbs.
Add Cream and knead until mixture until mixture leaves sides of dish and does not stick to your hands.
Add a little more Flour or Cream if necessary.
Mix Fruit Mince with 1 pudding spoon of Apricot Jam.
Roll out pastry and place in mold, add one tea spoon of fruit mince.
Use thinly rolled out pastry for the top of the pie’s and egg wash.
Bake at 180 degrees for 10 to 15 min.
