EY announced the 2016 Southern Africa World Entrepreneur Award™ finalists in the Master, Emerging and Exceptional categories recently. The awards – now in its 19th year, celebrates business leaders and people who have made a difference in their countries and their economies as a whole.
The finalists were selected on entrepreneurial spirit, financial performance, personal integrity and influence, innovation, community/global impact and strategic direction.
As finalists under the Master Category (which honours individuals whose achievements have made them world-class entrepreneurs) Allan and Margaret Hirsch were amongst esteemed company at the Finalist Retreat which was held recently (today!!!). The finalists in the respective categories will be judged by an independent panel of judges and the winner in each category will be announced at a gala ceremony on 29 November 2016.

The World Entrepreneur Award culminates in an annual gala banquet in Monte Carlo in June each year, where winning entrepreneurs in the Master category from over 50 countries around the world compete for one of the most coveted global business awards – EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year™.
