To celebrate Heritage Month, award winning business woman, Patricia Schroder gave an inspiring talk titled “Cross Cultural Intelligence” at Hirsch’s Business networking event that was held recently. She spoke about the importance of understanding the differences in cultures and how these differences should be embraced, especially in a country like ours with such a melting pot of different cultures and rich heritage.

Schröder’s invention through her business Reclite SA (Recylcing through innvovation) of a unique project to recycle waste electric lights and save landfills from poisonous mercury and other toxins, landed her first prize in the 2016 Ilembe Chamber Entrepreneur competition. She was also named Margaret Hirsch Woman In Business achiever of the year KZN for 2018 and most recently as the 2018 Fair Lady Santam Woman of the Future.
