Hirsch’s Struben’s Valley recently held their WIB Network event where one of the Margaret Hirsch Woman In Business Achiever finalists, Nomalanga Sitole from The Voice Within was the guest speaker. Said Nomalanga: “When we decide on partnerships – be it for our personal relationships, in the workplace or in our business – we need people who are aligned with various aspects: namely vision, passion, purpose, value and execution.
“Nomalanga said that many times we jump right into partnerships without asking the relevant questions and only when things go wrong do we wonder what happened. Rather get the basics spoken about upfront to avoid a lot of headaches and challenges as partnerships evolve”, commented Dorette Nel, PRO for Hirsch’s Struben’s Valley.
“Partnerships comprise human beings with a heart, emotions and not just titles and positions. If the above set of key details are not attended to, partnerships may end up badly, go sour and sometimes hurt the people involved. It is crucial to work on Integrity, honesty and openness to ensure partnerships thrive. As humans we need to embrace the ability to say NO and where necessary LET GO of certain partnerships and learn to be at peace when this happens” she said.
Nomalanga said that we should stop partnering for the sake of it, just because it looks good, just because there’s financial or otherwise gain. “ Partnerships need to be strategically aligned to all parties involved, vision set out, values lived by and goals set. Partnerships need to be mutually beneficial, peaceful and in a safe environment to operate in – Detail is important most of all operate from a place of LOVE, RESPECT AND INTEGRITY”.
After this inspiring talk, a lucky draw prize of the Hirsch’s Modern Vegetarian Lifestyle Cookbook was won by Francinah Chauke. To enquire about the monthly WIB Network Events contact email@example.com
