Recently Northlands Girls high school hosted a master chef cook off. Hirsch’s was one of the sponsors for the event and we treated the parents , teachers and students to some delicious coffee to compliment the decadently delightful theme. There was a teachers competition and a students competition all were instructed to create a cup cake and a milkshake. Were we asked to be a guest judge for the event alongside former pupil Kelly Love and Jackie from 1000 hills chef school. Points were given for appearance , taste and texture as well as how well they fit to the theme.
Durban North College pupil Marita took the Master chef title winning the trophy, a His and Hirsch’s cook book, a one on one cooking adventure from the head chef at Chef’s table and some other goodies sponsored by Northlands Girls High.
The parents in attendance loved the coffee treat and the opportunity to enter our competition to stand a chance to win a Totai patio heater for these chilly winter nights.
