North Coast Business Women recently got together at the Hirsch’s Ballito store for their monthly women in business meeting, held in partnership with the Ilembe Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with a great turn out of ladies getting together for a great networking session.
Ballito’s very own dance star, Julie Robert, was the speaker for the morning , talking about how she turned her passion into a career with her business Sugar Dance Studio which has recently reached its 10 year milestone. Sugar Dance hosts over 50 classes a week that cater to all ages, offering a wide variety of styles under one roof, allowing you to find a class to keep you fit and in tune with your unique style. After the ladies got their dance moves on with Julie who demonstrated some exciting techniques, the Ilembe Chamber Margaret Hirsch Woman in Business Achiever finalist for February was announced and awarded to the deserving Loret De Musso from Lorets Kitchen, a local catering company and coffee shop situated on the North Coast.
The very passionate foodie commented on how her business has grown from strength to strength “My business grew as I was always personally present at each and every function or event and I took immense pride in the products I created. Love goes into each and every dish. From a small ‘one pot’ dish to kiddies baking & cooking birthday parties, significant effort was put into every detail. Then our famous motto, “COOKING FROM SCRATCH” was born and this set us apart from the rest. The wholesome fresh approach to cooking, made from fresh ingredients, old-style type of cooking came into play, keeping it simple while making sure that all food is bursting with flavour and creativity.”
