Recently Hirsch’s Umhlanga headed to Eden College to join them at their ECO Festival. The festival was open to the public and it was held to create awareness on the importance of keeping the planet clean.
Commented Hirsch’s PRO Lindsay Starkey: “The children were able to make homemade products to sell to the public but they had to be good for the environment. They also had a mini Master Chef competition, where the children had to cook on an Eco-Friendly cooker and create a dish to impress the judges.. Hirsch’s Umhlanga was invited to do a demonstration on an ECO- Friendly product sold at Hirsch’s stores and we chose to demonstrate a Snappy chef single plate induction Hob for its quick cooking time – they use 50 % less electricity than electrical hobs to function and heat up food. Hirsch’s Umhlanga takes pride in promoting an eco-friendly environment as all our appliances show the energy efficiency rating to help customers make the Green choice. It was wonderful to take part in such a beneficial function and to provide knowledge of Eco-friendly cooking methods” said Lindsay.
