Hirsch’s recently hosted a business networking morning at their Milnerton branch with previous Master Chef contestant, Claire Allen. The focus for the networking was to demonstrate how to keep a healthy lifestyle even if you have your own business and are busy all the time. Homemade Granola was prepared on the whirlpool stand with an induction stove and a pan. The method was to fry Pecan nuts, Walnuts, Hazelnuts and Pumpkin seeds in coconut oil, then to add three spices – cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Lastly, add a drop of vanilla extract and you can top this up with fresh Greek yogurt, fruit and a dash of honey. “This is an easy food to take with you everywhere and eat when you can. For the human brain to function at it’s best, you need food often when busy, people forget to look after their bodies. This is a great health booster.’ said Claire.
There was an insightful demonstration of how to make Claire’s Bean and Barley Soup with Crispy Chorizo Sausage. The soup takes approximately 20 minutes to cook and you can make a big pot and portion out for the week.
‘That was absolutely delicious and I will definitely try this at home.’ Said, Noreen Ngami.
Each guest had a chance to speak about their business for 60 seconds. There was a buzz of networking throughout the entire event and sharing of information between guests.
