Hirsch Ballito hosted their last networking morning for 2015 and the topic was all about ‘Healthy Eating Tips for the Festive Season’ . Belinda Smith, owner of I move Fitness Cafe Ballito chatted to networkers about how to keep in shape this Christmas. ‘It is always so hard when there is all this amazing food over Christmas time’ said Lina Collazuol. Belinda explained to networkers that the easiest way to decide on a healthy option is to ask yourself ONE question- ‘Does it have a mother or come from the ground?’ if you can answer YES to both then you can eat it. Try void anything that has been manipulated by man to get it to the end result.
Belinda gave the following advice to networkers:
- Swop out Chips for Biltong, popcorn or fruit.
- Have baby roast potatoes rather than potatoe bake with cream.
- Water is KEY!!
- Abs are made in the kitchen – but it helps to exercise 4/5 times a week.
- Portion Size – have 5 small meals rather than 3 large ones.
Last but not least – Everything in moderation!!
