Local lady entrepreneurs recently gathered at Hirsch’s Hyde Park for their very first ladies networking morning at the Hirsch’s latest flagship store in Dunkeld. Rachel Trent, from “Trent sets the Trend Events” and “Coyote West” dazzled the crowd as the guest speaker talking about how your age should never stop you from pursuing your passion. She shared some of the challenges she has faced and the valuable lessons she has learned. She emphasized the importance of networking and doing internships to get your name out there when you are still young and want to gain experience. She shared an insightful message that has stayed with her since her studies: “Meraki is to do something with soul, creativity or love and to put something of yourself into your work.”
The networkers were given the opportunity to present themselves and their businesses in a 60-second elevator pitch. This was followed by a lucky draw, networking, sharing of business cards and enjoying refreshments.
