Recently Hirsch’s Centurion hosted their last Ladies Networking Event for the year. Linda Levendag from Dragonfly Media – no stranger to Hirsch’s – collaborated to combine the event with a Christmas market, giving the Ladies a chance to start their Christmas shopping.
With 17 exhibitors, the store was abuzz with activity as they all set up their stalls and displayed their wares.
The Margaret Hirsch Woman in Business Achiever finalist for December, Wendy Williams, received her award and a R500,00 Hirsch’s Voucher at the event. Wendy is the Southern Africa Sales Director at Engel & Völkers, an international Real Estate Company. Her great passion is to train new Agents to become property specialists. Wendy has received several nominations, one of which was her nomination as one of 5 top Team Leaders worldwide.
The guest speaker at the event, Kamala Ahomed from Attraction Coaching, titled her message ‘Control, Alt, Delete’. Kamala is a Sociologist, Certified Life Coach, NLP Practitioner and creator of the ‘Sizzling Confidence for Women’ Series. Encouraging the ladies that it is never too late to start over – she explained the importance of getting out of our ‘comfort zone’ and into the ‘growth zone’. As women, we tend to focus on everybody else’s needs and not our own – and this needs to change for us to get in touch with what it is we really want for our lives. As a fun ending to the talk – each lady received a sparkler – an apt reminder to ‘sparkle’ and let our ‘lights shine’.
“What a fantastic talk – I am so inspired to follow my dream and make some changes in my life” said Linda le Seuer, one of our guests.
There were many lucky draw prizes sponsored by the exhibitors, as well as Hirsch’s recipe books up for grabs.
Afterwards the ladies could enjoy a cappuccino, network – and of course, shop from the various goodies that were available. The Ladies from Mangwanani Spa were on hand to give neck and hand massages – much to everybody’s delight.
These networking events for Ladies are held every second Thursday of the month, and are free of charge. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and to ensure that you receive an invitation to the events.
