Once a month in Gauteng and in KZN, workshops are held for Entrepreneurs in the community under the Hirsch umbrella. Entrepreneurs from around Gauteng attended the second Entrepreneurs Workshop that was held at Hirsch’s Carnival recently.
The event was attended by new businesses owners and veteran entrepreneurs looking for advice and ideas on how to get their businesses to thrive in a tough economy. The subject under discussion at the Workshop centered on ‘making money is easy, BUT keeping it, is what you need to know!
Margaret Hirsch, COE for Hirsch’s home stores, is living proof that you can start with nothing and work your way to the top of the ladder. But it takes application, hard work, and constantly striving for better. “I am living my dream and I am living proof that its possible.” Commented Margaret.
I came from a background with very little and I’ve worked hard to get to where I am today. It’s why I teach wealth generation to others. Success doesn’t come by itself.” Margaret commented, “Too often we focus only on what we wish to accomplish in the future forgetting what we have already achieved and we need to get in the habit of crediting ourselves every day for our progress. Make a list of your accomplishments and focus on the future but recognise what is happening now.” She said.
Well known Business Coach, Elsa Groenewald, from Action COACH pointed out that cash flow management is important for each business. “Without money and the management thereof, your business cannot exist and grow. Having a cash flow in place, either daily, weekly, monthly or longer, means that you can plan and make informed financial decisions. A good idea is to negotiate terms with your suppliers and make sure your clients pay on time”, Elsa advised.
The next Workshop will be held on Wednesday the 16th of October 2019 at the Hirsch Carnival please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 010 822 2050.
