Making valuable connections at Hirsch’s Silverlakes
Hirsch’s Silverlakes recently hosted their monthly ladies networking event where they provide a platform for business-minded women to come together to network and listen to a top guest speaker. The Margaret Hirsch Woman in Business Achiever of the Month is also announced at the event.
The guest speaker for the morning was Debby Edelstein, who is an entrepreneur with 25 years of experience, she is also the co-founder of Qualitylife Company which designs programmes and events for leaders. Debby is also a leadership coach and mentor and has had the privilege to coach SA’s top CEO’s as well as work with the most generous women leaders in the country. Commented the store PRO, Tsz Yan Lau, “Debby did a practicalactivation with the attendees where they had to ask the person next to them a few questions and then they had to describe their partner to the other attendees. Debby also said that you should always build connections and refer people as everyone loves a generous networker.”
After the talk, the Margaret Hirsch Women in Business Achiever Winner for Silverlakes 2018, Sister Jenny from Jen-til Touch, was introduced. Sister Jenny spoke about her experience at the gala dinner and how touched she was to win the award. She also showed the audience a video summary of what her amazing cream does to heal people all over the world.
After Sister Jenny’s speech, the finalist the Women in Business for November, Dimakatso Moloantoa was introduced. Dimakatso gave a speech on how she was inspired to start her company Amari Marketing and how this award is validation that she is on the right path.
The ladies were also given a lesson by Suzuki’s representatives on how to change a tyre and the do’s and dont’s whilst changing it.
The function ended with all attendees introducing their business for 30 seconds and a lucky draw for a Hirsch’s cookbook was drawn. Attendees also swapped business cards over a cup of cappuccino.
