Another year is almost done – just a couple to go and a new year begins.
Looking back did you accomplish those goals you set out to achieve? Did you fulfill your resolutions?Or did you come up short? Or never get started?
There are a number of reasons why we don’t accomplish our goals, make those changes we promise to make or fulfill those resolutions we commit to when the year began.
That happens because we simply get distracted, our mind focuses on other things and we get caught up in the daily stress of the day, weeks and months.
Before you know it another year has gone by and nothing changed. We’re still where we were at the start of the year or maybe things have become worse.
You may not realize this but over the years you’ve conditioned your mind and subconscious mind to focus on the daily stresses and so when you decide to achieve a goal, make a change fulfill a resolution, you get distracted.
That’s just what you’re used to doing. That’s the way your mind and subconscious mind have been trained and conditioned. They’re just following what you trained them to do and you probably didn’t mean to do that.
Focusing on the day’s events helps you get through the day but it doesn’t help you make the changes you want, achieve a goal or fulfill a resolution.
If you’re serious about making some changes then you have to train your mind and subconscious mind to focus on the end result you want – and you have to make achieving that goal or fulfilling that resolution a top priority – it has to be something you really want.
This is where most of us get tripped up. We set a goal that’s vague and don’t make it a priority. And so the goal becomes wishful thinking because there is no burning desire to achieve the goal or fulfill the resolution.
So now that a new year is about to begin start thinking about the goals you want to achieve or the resolutions you want to fulfill next year.
Then get specific and make sure you have a goal that you can measure so you can track your progress.
For example: saying you want to make more money is a good start – then get specific and decided how much money and by when. If you want to lose weight then decide how much and by when.
Once you’ve got your goals set make them a priority, you should have a burning desire to achieve your goal – it has to be something you really want.
When you have a burning desire you’ll do whatever it takes to achieve that goal.
If you don’t have a burning desire to succeed you’ll simply give up because it won’t be important.
The most important part of achieving a goal is to believe that you can and will succeed. Otherwise, you may never even get started or get close to achieving it.
Right now your mind and subconscious mind are used to being distracted and so you’re not focused on your goals and you don’t believe you can achieve them.
So when you decide to achieve a goal or set a new resolution at first you feel like you really want to succeed and make the changes.
However, after a few days the negative thoughts start to enter your mind, you begin to doubt that you can succeed, and you allow yourself to get distracted.
That only happens because your mind is used to being negative and your subconscious is just following the negative beliefs you’ve held for so long.
Now you can turn things around and get rid of the negative thoughts and negative beliefs. Now can set clear goals and resolutions that you achieve and fulfill. Now you can condition yourself to make the changes you want, accomplish more and achieve your goals so you live the kind of life you want to live.
Think about what you want to achieve or fulfill in 2019 – then make it a priority. Track your thoughts and beliefs. When those doubts or fears enter your mind dismiss them. Get rid of them. Stay focused on your goals and hat you want.
Get rid of the negative thoughts and negative beliefs that prevent you from fulfilling your resolutions and goals. Take control of your mind and subconscious mind.
Make sure you have a burning desire to achieve your goals.
You can succeed. You can make the changes you want. You can achieve your goals. You can make 2019 your best year ever.
Take control of your mind and subconscious mind. Condition yourself for success and you will have your best year ever.
