How we see ourselves, the people around us, our lives, our family and the world shapes how our lives.
We could both be looking at an event and see it completely differently.
For example: the holiday season is here and some will see it as wonderful time to spend with their families, connect with people you haven’t seen in a while, and get some time off from the hectic pace of work and life.
Others could see it as stressful time, focus on all that has to be done, not having enough time, having to deal with friends or family they may not get along with or even like.
For some it can be a very lonely time.
Back when I was single (seems like a lifetime ago) I lived away from my family and didn’t have anyone to share the holiday spirit with, so I’d go to work and be on my own. I didn’t mind – I just never got into the holiday spirit – I wasn’t a Grinch – honest!
Today I see the holiday season as a time to spend with my personal family, my wife and my kids. I try to put a positive spin on it and try to get everybody to enjoy it no matter how busy we are.
When it comes to you and your life try to put a positive spin on things. Another year is about to end and it’s a good time to take a look and see if you accomplished what you set out to accomplish this past year.
I do that at the end of every year and while I find I got a lot done, there are a bunch of things that didn’t get done – I still have to finish my driveway, clear out some closets, and I have to get that car fixed.
Those are some of the minor misses I had this past year. There are some bigger goals I didn’t accomplish and when I realize what I didn’t succeed at I re-set my goal and aim to complete it next year or next month or maybe even tomorrow – no time like the present.
So take a look at what you accomplished and pat yourself on the back for a job well done.
As for what didn’t work out or what you didn’t accomplish, re-set that goal and get started. If it’s important to you then make it a priority – a top priority. Then think about why you didn’t accomplish it and see what has to change – usually it’s because it either wasn’t important enough or some negative thoughts and negative beliefs stopped you.
Sometimes you don’t accomplish a goal because there are too many doubts and fears that come up. Or you put things off for tomorrow but tomorrow never comes and keeps getting put off.
Those fears and doubts along with procrastinating are all a result of negative thoughts and negative beliefs. They may seem real or come up automatically when you think about achieving specific goals and that’s only because they’re planted on your subconscious mind.
When you have negative thoughts and negative beliefs on your subconscious mind you’ll automatically take the actions that reflect or support those negative thoughts and negative beliefs.
For example: if you think and believe that it’s hard to get a good job then you’ll take actions that make it hard for you to get a good job. Those actions could include applying for the wrong positions, talking to the wrong people, making bad choices, or not doing anything at all – so it gets difficult to get a good job.
Those negative thoughts and negative beliefs and prevent you from achieving any particular goal. So as you re-set your goals and think about what you want to achieve next year – change what’s on your subconscious mind so you succeed.
Take control and get rid of the negative thoughts and negative beliefs now – so that you can achieve your goals in 2019. Once you do that you’ll take the right actions and do the right things that will help you accomplish your goals.
If you allow the negative thoughts and negative beliefs to stay on your subconscious mind you’ll just make it harder and harder to achieve your goals and enjoy the success you want.
Don’t let another year go by only to wish you had done what you wanted to do. Take charge of your life by taking control of your mind and subconscious mind – I show you how in a simple and easy system – you’
