Hirsch Fourways recently hosted their final ladies networking breakfast for 2015. To bid farewell to this past year they invited Miele’s renowned chef, Gerhard, to give guests a Christmas cooking demonstration with easy but scrumptious meals that anyone can attempt in their own kitchens. Commented one of the guests, “Not only did he prepare and make a variety of delicious dishes he has had us in stitches with his great sense of humour.”
On the menu was a starter consisting of a roast sweet potato soup served with a freshly baked beer bread. The main was a deboned chicken with a brown sugar, balsamic and raisin glaze with a fennel and baby tomato salad, and the whole meal was finished off with a very creamy cherry semifreddo (Italian ice-cream with cherries).
Unanimous feedback was that the food was enjoyed by all, the atmosphere, despite the heat in the store, was thoroughly enjoyed and this final networking breakfast was a great success. Bring on 2016!!
