DOMESTIC workers recently attended a free monthly domestic training course at Hirsch’s Hillcrest branch, learning how to prepare and cook food with an induction stove. They also learnt about new technology washing machines and how the various functions work. The spares department explained which materials are effective when cleaning stainless steel and which materials works best with Glass fridges and much more.
‘Merica Vunisile Ciya’ was announced the domestic worker of the month for July. Her employer, Gary Brooks said ‘Merica has been working for me for six years. She always arrives at work with a smile. She looked after my Father during his long illness and the tender love and care she showed to him is a testament to her character. In a Special Way, she is not merely an employee but my sister.’ .
The next domestic training workshop will be held on Wednesday, 3 August at 9 am at Hirsch’s Hillcrest Branch. To RSVP, contact Hirsch’s Hillcrest PRO, Taryn Taylor on 031 761 7500 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
