Women – and the business of networking
Recently Hirsch’s Umhlanga hosted their women in business meeting with the speaker for the day, Ms Mary B Papaya, who has a masters in media and journalism as well as extensive experience in gender studies and business networking. Her presentation was on women and the business of networking and how to effectively use networking to your advantage. she highlighted the points of mutual respect for one another’s business and how it assists in embracing others and different situations. She also stated that it is okay for women to be vulnerable in the working environment as it helps one grow.
KZN Regional winner of the Margaret Hirsch Woman in Business Achiever Awards – 2016, Vino Govender ,reported back on her achievements so far through networking. She also won the National small business council award.
The Margaret Hirsch Woman in Business winner for the month, Joanne Soojay, a motivational speaker, wealth and health coach , business owner and property investor was awarded her certificate and voucher. Her main goal in life is to own her own talk show.
At the end of the event the ladies were encouraged to stand up and talk about what they wish to achieve for the new year and through networking.
