Hirsch Meadowdale recently hosted its monthly Business Networking Morning. The venue was packed with driven business people ready to feel inspired by the guest speaker, build relationships and grow their business.
Author, speaker and owner of Marketing Breakthrough, Shirley Anthony was the guest speaker for the morning.
She has recently launched a book, titled The NEW Entrepreneur: A Practical Marketing Guide For Growing Your Business Now in which she shares her own business learnings and those from many other entrepreneurs in a practical and entertaining style.
Shirley’s topic for the morning was ‘Wooing your Customers’. In her talk she spoke about customers being the lifeblood of any business. Whether you run a business, work in a corporate – we all have customers and we need to woo them. “When you are interfacing with a potential new customer you want to convince your prospect that you have the product or service that can meet their needs, be perceived as professional – would like a purchase but more than that – would like to build a long term relationship with your customer – repeat purchaser – loyal customer relationship.” She said.
Shirley gave the audience guidelines on how to approach the window of opportunity, connect with customers, to serve before you sell, find new prospects and the importance of a marketing plan.
