The question is
whats left when all the money s taken away
we spend our lives chasing the proverbial buck
some win and get there
some lose an dont
but what would happen if money wasn’t in the equation
if you could have whatever you wanted
whenever you wanted
the gilt would soon go off the gingerbread and what would you be left with??
i always say
work harder on yourself than you do on your job
on your deathbed you won’t want to be talking to your boss
when you are getting ready to meet your maker
its going to be your own character that you are going to be thinking about
if all the money and material goods were taken away
what would be left?
it would be the photographs – memories of times gone by both good and bad and how they have shaped my life
the knowledge gained along the way
the experiences that have shaped life both good and bad and
the knowledge to try again a better way and improve so that you can genuinely live
with honesty, integrity (doing what you say you are going to do) and loyalty –
all are really important
honesty with yourself more than anyone else
but to genuinely be honest about everything
it makes life so much easier
integrity – doing what you say you will do and just knowing
that people will be able to trust you to be the best you can be at any time
loyalty – people have to know that you are loyal to them and won’t judge them no matter what
having the courage of your convictions to do the right thing even though it isn’t the easiest thing to do.
when all the money and “things” are stripped away
all you are left with is your character
make sure its a good one!
