Domestic Ladies Learns Basic First Aid at Hirsch’s Hyde Park
Hirsch’s Hyde Park recently hosted their monthly domestic training for the unsung heroes of the household, with Riccardo Naidoo, the certified first aid representative in the Hyde Park branch, talking to the ladies about the importance of keeping themselves safe before giving assistance to others. Commented Hirsch’s Marjone Barnard “That would mean that it is advisable to invest in a first aid kit in the homes and places of employment with gloves and other necessities. He explained the various types of wounds along with what the best course of action to take care of them. He focused on knowing when to apply CPR and mouth-to-mouth as well as remembering to stay calm in all situations to not upset the injured person. The ladies asked questions and were also given practical scenarios and guided on how to react.”
The Domestic Worker of the month is Charity Chirwa. She was nominated by her employer, Desiree Thompson: “She is a second mom to my children and she bakes the most amazing chocolate cakes.” Afterwards ladies took a lot of selfies with their certificates and exchanged first aid hints.
