Domestic workers made their way to Hirsch’s Hillcrest branch on Wednesday the 13th of January 2016 for the free monthly domestic training course. This course was on how to wash non-stick pots and pans without damage, how to defrost a freezer and how to clean various surfaces effectively. Training was also done on how to use various laundry appliances and different cleaning techniques.
The lucky draw winner was ‘Princess Movuso’ and she won a Hemp Hand protector sponsored by the body shop.
Congratulations to ‘Elsie Mkize’ for winning The Domestic Worker of the month for January 2016. Elsie walked away with an R500.00 Hirsch gift voucher. Elsie’s employer, Louise MacLeod said ‘I wish you could have seen Elsie’s face when I told her about your course! She was absolutely delighted and over the moon! This is the very first course she has ever attended and she has been in my employ for 22 years. She has been a mother to both my girls, caring for them as if they were her own. Although she has had a life filled with tremendous difficulties, she exhibits a wonderful faith and such a positive attitude. She always has a smile to greet me, indeed she is an example for us all! She deserves every bit of happiness!’
The next Domestic Training workshop will be held on the 2nd of February 2016 at 9 am at Hirsch’s Hillcrest Branch. To RSVP, please contact Hirsch’s Hillcrest PRO, Taryn Taylor on 031 761 7500 or email@example.com.
