Recently Margaret Hirsch, COE of the Hirsch Group and multi award winning business woman, attended the Tariro foundation’s inaugural breakfast hosted at the Standard bank Incubator at Rosebank. The Tariro foundation is a non- profit organisation based in Johannesburg, focusing on the holistic development and empowerment of young South African girls, through education, entrepreneurship as well as personal and leadership development.
Margaret was one of the three panel guests who was asked to share her unique story about her rise to success in the business and retail world in Southern Africa. Commented the PRO for the Samsung Rosebank Concept Store, Narisha Somaroo “Her story touched everyone in the room , because many people don’t know the struggles she had when she was growing up. Her motto “Never give up and make each second count” struck a cord with everyone at the event. Margaret also introduced the “Girls with dignity” project, and how it has changed the lives of many young women.”
Students from Waverly Girls High school attended the breakfast and were overwhelmed with the motivation, wisdom and knowledge they received to help them practise in their daily lives. The Foundation has changed their lives tremendously and their grades have increased all thanks to Tariro foundation.
