“First Be, Then Do, and you will Have.”
Attracting success into your life requires a little bit of effort on your part, Margaret.
Here are the steps, (and I am assuming that you first and foremost know exactly what “success” you wish to attract into your life):
1. First Be : Decide what type of person you will be in any given circumstance. What values will you stand for? What will people be able to count on you for? When you take actions that are consistent with this way of being, then you will experience the outcomes you desire.
Example: Your Monday morning starts off on an amazing note, and then at 9:30am a client calls you with a complaint. You immediately go from being happy to frustrated, angry and sad. In that moment you let the actions of a customer determine who you are being. This will in all probability determine how you react not only to your current complaint, but your next 3 diary appointments.
If you decide that who you are being in your business is helpful, and somebody who is always here to add value to your clients, regardless of circumstance, then a customer complaint is seen as merely a communication or request for help. Help the customer and you could transform a happy client to a raving fan who could go on to refer more friends to your business.
React with anger and frustration in that moment, and your ability to attract future success will now be a little more difficult.
Who you will be is your choice. Make your choice, and then be that person regardless of circumstance.
2. Then Do : This is where most people get caught up. In order to attract success, there is a massive requirement upon you that you actually take action. If you want more success, take more action. If you want the universe to deliver exactly what you want, then you must be willing to do your part of the deal.
Take the risks. Do the work, and co-create the result you want. This Law of Attraction thing is not simply an exercise in wishful thinking. The universe rewards you only when you put yourself out there.
3. And You will Have : Your success will not be attained overnight. You will need to persevere, and you will need to toughen your resilience because true success is not achieved in the short term.
You will at some point probably want to give up, and you will certainly go through times when you will question why you are putting yourself through all this hard work. You will also at some point bemoan the absence of immediate results and compare your success to others. This is where belief and blind faith will work hand in hand.
If you know your worth, and you truly believe that you are worthy of the success you desire, then you will have. Keep going.
One day you will look back at the sequence of events that lead to your success. For a minute it might baffle you. You may seemed surprised at how ‘lucky’ you were. But when you cast your mind back right to the beginning, you will realize that it all started with you.
It always does.
Have a great week.
