This Blackberry Smoothie can be blended up in a flash. Therefore it is perfect as an on the go choice for an early morning or a long day of shopping. To make the smoothie extra cold and creamy freeze your banana’s overnight and add them to your smoothie while blending. The combination of berries and banana add potassium, antioxidants, vitamin C and fiber into your diet. Which all contribute to a healthy diet.

Ingredients for the Blackberry Smoothie:

  • A cup of fresh Blackberries

  • One sliced frozen banana

  • Half a cup of fresh plain yoghurt

  • A drizzle of honey

  • A sprig of mint to decorate

Method: Into a blender add your blackberries, banana, plain yoghurt and honey. Blend the ingredients until they are combined. Then grab your favourite glass jar or travel mug add your smoothie with some mint and enjoy!

If you would like to turn this recipe into a vegan-friendly recipe swap the yoghurt for half a cup of coconut milk. This will still give you the creaminess of the yoghurt but it is vegan friendly.
