There is nothing more delicious than Refreshing Watermelon Popsicles on a hot day. This recipe is so easy to make and you can enjoy a healthy fresh treat in no time. These popsicles are great for birthday parties and school holiday fun and are a fantastic way to get the kids to eat their fruit.
Ingredients
500g of watermelon
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons lime or lemon juice
Mint
Method
Dice the watermelon into cubes.
Place the watermelon, sugar and lime or lemon juice into a blender and blend until liquified, you may need to add a small amount of water if needed.
Pour into popsicle moulds leaving a gap at the bottom for chopped mint leaves.
Freeze for 5 hours+ and enjoy.
Tips:
These popsicles can be adapted with any fruit. We recommend trying Kiwi , mixed berries and banana.
Try blending some spinach with the fruit for an extra healthy pop.
You can also add some low-fat Greek yoghurt for a more decadent mix.
For an adult version try adding some champagne or your favourite liqueur to the mixture, your guests will love them.
